The week that was...

Well it's been a pretty big week I guess. I have been in negotiations with Stahlhammer and they are in! They are asking for 6% royalty plus 10 cd's for archive purposes, which is fine. I can use any song I like so I've got to chose amongst my top 3 pretty soon and send a contract.

Eisbrecher on the other hand want an upfront payment of 200 euro so I am still deciding on that one. The label did say they have a new band they are about to sign up which I might be interested in. They said give them a message in 4-6 weeks so that'll be interesting.

Just spoke to Norri from Tanzwut/Corvus Corax/k.d.a/etc.. about getting a Tanzwut track on the album. He said that should be sweet and asked if I can get a k.d.a track on as well. I think the style is a little different to what I'm after but I'm sure I can find one which suits.

Just got an email from the Goethe Institute. I was hoping to get a little funding to cover some royalties and promotion discs. But apparently they aren't allowed to sponsor cd productions...bugger

In case you're wondering(but probably not) I have completed the cover artwork. It's very cool and moody but this one I will be keeping under wraps until the album is released, or closer to the time

Well, Patrick from Ostfront has confirmed for the album. I had to check it was ok with his publisher and label and so on. All he said was "I am the publisher and I say go!" so he's in..

I recieved an email from Stahlhammer and was told they are keen and they need more info and a contract. I don't think I have anything else to tell them so I'll just harp on about some shite and draw up a quick contract.

Patrick from Die! said his band is keen and that his label with be contacting me soon..as his albel is Sony I do not expect to hear anything from them.

Making of a compilation cd..

Right so I'm going to start this blog and post the highs and lows of trying to put together a German Music compilation cd. The project has been under way for a few weeks now so I have missed some good posts, but most of these details can be explained as I go along. So here goes...
